We don’t log or analyze any DNS data passing through our servers.
We also don’t reveal any client data to third parties. And we never will.
What we filter
We not only filter advertisements, but also most known malware sites (sites known to be harmful to your computer).
On top of that, we also filter most marketing research sites that track users. These sites track users to generate a taste profile which they use to show you personalized ads.
Using our service, you don’t have to worry about being tracked by those sites.
Our advertising, malware and tracking lists are updated daily, no need to worry about staying up to date – you’re always automatically up to date!
What our service doesn’t do
We can’t see your emails, we therefore cannot filter spam email for you.
Using our service also doesn’t replace an up to date antivirus software!
While we try to filter most of the harmful sites, there is always a risk. You should never go on the internet with an unprotected computer. Just in case…
We also don’t interfere with facebook ads, this is due to technical and privacy reasons.
How are we different from browser plugins?
Using a browser plugin such as AD Block plus, may very well remove advertising on your internet browser. It doesn’t have any effect on your computer system or your network though.
It also doesn’t protect you from malware sites or from being tracked. Plugins also require you to keep them updated constantly.
Our advertising, malware and tracking lists are updated daily, so you don’t have to worry about staying up to date – you’re always automatically up to date!
For example:
A household of four people. All have their own computers. While one person may be savvy enough to install a browser plugin on their computer, other household members may not be.
Further, if some of those devices are iPads, iPhones or Android devices etc., there’s no easy way to filter ads. That’s where we come in. With Ad-free time! any device can be ad free.
So whenever you use your home internet, you enjoy ad free internet. Regardless of what device you’re using!
Set it up once, and forget about it!
